Pickling quartz sand

　　Acid pickling quartz sand is wet pickling, which uses various acids. Such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, oxalic acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc. Before pickling, the crushing process is wet crushing. Some of them are mechanical crushing, such as hammer crushing. The crushed material contains a lot of mechanical iron. Mechanical iron and quartz sand react slowly in water. In general, mechanical iron oxidizes into trivalent iron and turns red and yellow after several days. If soaked in acid, iron oxidizes faster in exposed air.

　　Some impurities can be removed by washing quartz sand after crushing. Magnetic separation can remove more than 99% of mechanical iron. Acid leaching can add various acids according to the actual situation. Acid leaching equipment must be acid and alkali resistant plastic containers, stainless steel is not recommended. Part of the acid corrodes stainless steel. If conditions permit acid leaching, it is recommended to use a reactor or vessel with heating and stirring. The acid leaching is more thorough and the reaction is more sufficient. Water washing also needs to be stirred before it is thoroughly cleaned.
